Black Directors Fortune 500 Companies

There were 278 black directors sitting on Fortune 500 company boards in 2008, an increase from 255 in 2004. However, they collectively held fewer board seats – 413 compared with 449 in 2004, according to a report by the Executive Leadership Council, a group that works to develop black leadership in the US.
