Calvin Butler serves as the President and CEO of Exelon, America's largest utility company in terms of customer count. Under his leadership, Exelon manages six electric and natural gas companies: Atlantic City Electric, BGE, ComEd, Delmarva Power, PECO, and Pepco. These companies collectively serve approximately 10 million electric and gas customers across New Jersey, Maryland, Illinois, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. Mr. Butler also chairs the board of each utility and leads Exelon's executive committee. His yearly compension is reported to be greater than USD $6 million.

Mr. Butler serves as the President and CEO of Exelon, the nation's largest utility company in terms of customer count. Under his leadership, Exelon manages six electric and natural gas companies: Atlantic City Electric, BGE, ComEd, Delmarva Power, PECO, and Pepco. Before becoming CEO in December 2022, Mr. Butler held the roles of President and COO at Exelon. He has a long history with the company, including serving as Exelon Utilities CEO in 2019 and as the CEO of BGE from 2014 to 2019. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at ComEd, including Senior VP of Corporate Affairs and VP of Governmental and Legislative Affairs. Prior to joining Exelon in 2008, Calvin held leadership roles in external affairs and manufacturing at R.R. Donnelley. He also started his career at Central Illinois Light Company (CILCORP, Inc.) in roles related to government affairs, legal, and strategy.

Mr. Butler plays an active role in various industry and civic organizations. He is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI). He also serves as the Vice Chair of the Institute of International Education (IIE) and is on the Board of Governors for Argonne National Laboratory. Calvin is involved with the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago, the Economic Club of Chicago, and served as the past chair of the Greater Baltimore Committee. Additionally, he is on the boards of several foundations and organizations, including the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, Caves Valley Golf Club, Annika Sorenstam Foundation, and the James Madison Council of the Library of Congress. He is a former chair of the Gridwise Alliance, an advocacy group focused on modernizing the electrical grid.

Mr. Butler's leadership and community contributions have earned him recognition from various organizations. He was named to The Daily Record's "Power 100" list and recognized as one of Maryland's "Most Admired CEOs." He received the BEYA Chairman's Award in 2020 for his contributions to STEM fields. Black Enterprise magazine included him in their list of "Most Influential Black Executives in Corporate America," and he was named "ETS Thought Leader of the Year" by Zpryme for his visionary leadership in the energy sector. In 2022, he received the Distinguished Citizen Award from the Boy Scouts of America and was listed among Baltimore magazine's "Top Ten Baltimoreans." Mr. Butler is an active member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Mr. Butler earned a bachelor's degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, and a Juris Doctor degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri. He was also awarded an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Morgan State University in 2014.

Butler and his wife, Sharon, have two children, Blake Calvin and Raini Alexis.
