Work Experience
She was most recently CEO of TaskRabbit, Inc., April 2016 to August 2020. Where she led the company through global expansion and acquisition by IKEA. She previously was COO of TaskRabbit from January 2013 to April 2016.
Prior to joining the company, Ms. Brown-Philpot served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Google Ventures from May 2012 to December 2012. During her nine years at Google, she worked for Sheryl Sandberg, headed online sales and operations for Google India, and founded the Black Googler Network, a key component of Google’s efforts around diversity.
Mrs. Brown-Philpot was a Senior Analyst at Goldman Sachs (July 1999 – July 2000), where she executed mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures for global transactions ranging from $400m to $10bn.
She was a Senior Associate at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (June 1997 – June 1999), providing auditing and assurance services to companies in the financial services, healthcare, and non-profit sector including management of project teams.
