Pamela Thomas-Graham served as CNBC's Chairman before joining Liz Claiborne in October 2005 as group president with oversight for the better and moderate department stores, including brands such as Liz Claiborne, Sigrid Olsen, Emma James, JH Collectibles and the recently acquired Mac & Jac, Kenzie and Kenziegirl brands, among others.

Ms. Magazine named her the most influential African American woman in cable television in 2003. Fortune Magazine put her at #23 on their Most Powerful Black Executives List in 2002 and Black Enterprise named her Corporate Executive of the Year in 2001.

Mrs. Graham has Harvard law degree and MBA. She worked for 10 years at McKinsey & Company, the world's largest management consultant firm, becoming its first black female partner in 1995. Jack Welch, the legendary GE CEO highly recommended her to Bob Wright, head of NBC which resulted in her 1999 hiring to run CNBC.com, and in 2001 becoming head of CNBC. She is also a best selling mystery writer having published three novels. She is married to Lawrence Otis Graham a nationally known business author and advisor to companies and other organizations on diversity and progressive strategies for managing the changing workplace. He has authored twelve books.
