Quincy L. Allen is president of the Production Systems Group at Xerox Corporation. He was named to this position in October 2004. He is also a corporate vice president. He was named to this position December 2004.
Allen is responsible for the company's high-end systems, software and service offerings for the graphic communications industry, including production publishing, transaction printing and enterprise-wide printing. He leads Xerox's efforts to leverage the complementary power of digital printing in the offset printing market, targeting key growth opportunities including just-in-time printing, customized printing and on-demand book publishing.
In this position, Allen manages the worldwide development and marketing of color and monochrome systems, including the Xerox iGen3™ Digital Production Press as well as the Xerox Nuvera™, DocuPrint™ and DocuColor™ product lines. He also oversees Xerox's FreeFlow™ Digital Workflow Collection of offerings designed to streamline the printing process.
Most recently, Allen was senior vice president in Xerox Business Group Operations, where he was responsible for cost-competitiveness.
Since joining Xerox as an electrical engineer in 1982, he has held senior technical and management positions in areas such as supply chain, sales and marketing, and product development. In 1999, Allen was appointed vice president, Worldwide Customer Services Strategy. In 2001, he was named senior vice president of North American Services and Solutions.
Allen earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University in 1982 and an MBA from the University of Rochester in 1993.
He is a board member of Greater Rochester Enterprise, WXXI Public Broadcasting Council, Gateway Inc. and the University of Notre Dame advisory committee.
