Howard Lincoln Shearer is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hitachi Canada Ltd (HCL), a position he has held since February 2001.
Mr. Shearer, 56, was previously vice president and general manager of Hitachi Canada Ltd., semiconductor sales and a member of the Hitachi Canada board, positions to which he was appointed in 1999. Before that, he had served as general manager of semiconductor sales since 1990. He joined Hitachi Canada in 1984 as a major account manager. Previously, he was employed by Texas Instruments.
He holds a bachelors degree in electrical engineering from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
