Yvonne M. Curl

Yvonne M. Curl is former vice president and chief marketing officer for Avaya Inc. from November 2000 through April 2004. Prior to joining Avaya in November 2000, she was employed by the Xerox Corporation. She joined Xerox in 1976 as a sales representative and progressed through management positions including vice president-field operations; executive assistant to the chairman and CEO; and as a corporate vice president serving as senior vice president and general manager, public sector worldwide/global solutions group.

Mrs. Curl received a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing from Howard University. She was named an outstanding alumna by Howard University's School of Business. In 1991 she was elected to the YWCA's Academy of Women Achievers. 

Mrs. Curl is a board member of Nationwide, one of the largest diversified insurance and financial services companies in the world. She also serves on the boards of other Nationwide companies.

She also serves on the board of Health South Corporation, Welch Allyn and Charming Shoppes, Inc. On February 3, 2010 Yvonne M. Curl notified Charming Shoppes that she has decided not to stand for re-election to their Board of Directors. Ms. Curl's term as a director will expire at our 2010 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, which we expect to hold on June 24, 2010.
