Malik Ducard is currently responsible for Content Business Development at Google.
He was previously Senior Vice President of Digital Distribution for The Americas, for Paramount Digital Entertainment, from June 2009 – March 2011. In this role, Ducard runs the studio's digital distribution department and P&L for The Americas, both setting and executing on the group's strategic course. With a great team, Ducard drives YOY revenue and profitability growth, and strikes deals with distributors for Paramount's content across Online, Mobile and New Media channels.
Ducard collaborates with multiple broadband, wireless, hardware and device partners to expand Paramount's distribution footprint across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America.
After receiving his BA from Columbia, and his MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, Ducard worked in MGM's home entertainment division and launched the Acquisitions and Business Development group.
After MGM, Ducard went on to lead the Home Entertainment Acquisitions group at Lionsgate, where he acquired feature films and libraries, as well as executive produced a stand-up comedy series for Showtime.
Ducard was profiled in the 15th Annual Hollywood Reporter Next Gen Edition and is currently on the board of directors of the Bresee Foundation, a non-profit LA organization that helps low-income youth, adults and families.
