Patricia Grayson first made an important contribution to The Children's Aid Society as a member of our Board of Trustees for 11 years. For 9 of those 11 years, she served as a Vice President of the Board and a member of its executive committee. Ms. Grayson also chaired the nominating committee. Now on staff as Assistant Executive Director for Development, she directs the agency's fundraising, marketing and events, public relations and website divisions.

Prior to joining Children's Aid, Ms. Grayson worked as National Director of Development for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Previously Ms. Grayson also spent nearly two decades with National Medical Fellowships (NMF), a national non-profit organization that provides financial assistance and financial planning to minority medical students. She served as Vice President of Institutional Support and Vice President of Planning and Development among other roles. Ms. Grayson also worked as a senior account executive for Oram Goldstein Associates, a fundraising management and public relations firm, and as a consultant for numerous non-profit institutions.

Ms. Grayson joined the Solar One Board in 2016. She has served on the United Charities Board and the New York Council of the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She was a member of the Board of Managers of the Vanderbilt YMCA and chairs its Board Development Committee. Ms. Grayson has been honored to receive the Trustee Award from The Children's Aid Society, the YMCA of Greater New York Volunteer of the Year award and the Vanderbilt YMCA Board of Managers Award.

Ms. Grayson received her Bachelor of Arts degree, with high honors, in Sociology from the University of Michigan and her Master's degree in Administration, Planning and Social Policy, from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
