Sifiso Dabengwa was Group President and CEO (2011 - 2015) of MTN Group, Africa's leading telecommunications provider, operating in 21 countries across the region. He was appointed Group President and CEO of MTN Group effective April 1, 2011. Mr. Dabengwa had been MTN's COO and has been with the group for 11 years.

Prior to joining MTN Group in 1999, Mr. Dabengwa was employed at South Afric's electricity generator Eskom as Executive Director.

Mr. Dabengwa serves as Non-Executive Director on the board of South African power utility, Eskom since January 2018.

Mr. Dabengwa holds B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe, MBA from the University of Witwatersrand and EDP.
