Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent, will begin pitching his own flavor of upscale Glaceau Vitaminwater, Formula 50 this week, said USA Today. Formula 50 is a grape-flavor water with 50% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamins, which he helped concoct last year. He was approached by Glacéau after they learned he was a fan of their other designer waters.
The company will use the artist's multi-city Anger Management tour with Eminem to hand out Formula 50 samples.
50 Cent will also be coming out with a line of watches under his G-Unit brand with Jacob & Co., a custom jeweler to the stars, the newspaper said. The watches will sell from $299 to $3,500, and one of them will include an MP3 player.
"He is very much into sports and staying in shape," Que Gaskins, Reebok's global head of lifestyle and entertainment, told the newspaper. "He is an athlete trapped in a rapper's body."
"Being as healthy as I am, I control what goes into my body, I don't drink alcohol, and use vitaminwater to helps me live a healthier life style" says 50 cent.
In the ads, 50 Cent reads The Wall Street Journal, retrieves the mail at his Connecticut home, records in a studio and works out at a gym. The ads are designed to show that Glacéau is part of his daily routine.
