Julius Caesar Watts has served as a senior partner of Oakcrest Capital Partners, LLC, Washington, D.C. (private equity firm), since its founding in 2006, and as the Chairman of J.C. Watts Companies L.L.C./Watts Partners, Washington, D.C. (public affairs and corporate consulting business) since its founding in January 2003. Previously, Mr. Watts was a member of Congress (R-4th Dist.-Okla.) from January 1995 to January 2003, and Chairman of the House Republican Conference from 1999 to 2003.

Education:


Watts graduated from Eufaula High School in 1976 and attended the University of Oklahoma until his graduation in 1981 with a B.A. in journalism. While at the University of Oklahoma, Watts was quarterback for the Sooners, leading them to two consecutive Big Eight Championships and Orange Bowl victories. He was voted the Most Valuable Player in the 1980 and 1981 Orange Bowls. From 1981 to 1986, he started for Ottawa and Toronto in the Canadian Football League and was voted the Most Valuable Player of the Grey Cup, the CFL's Super Bowl, his rookie season.
