Tammee Thompson joined the GE Security team in 2006 as president of GE Security Asia and is driving accelerated growth in this key market for Security and GE.
Before she joined the GE Security business, Tammee was most recently the Segment Leader for the Rail Services' Intermodal Business with GE Equipment Services. Prior to her Rail Services' role, she was a Business Development manager for GE Energy. Her responsibilities included identifying strengths and synergies in the manufacturing and sourcing functions of new acquisitions and overseeing GE Energy's Plant and Equipment expenditures and inventory management practices.
Tammee joined GE as a manager with the Corporate Initiatives Group at GE headquarters in Fairfield, CT where she focused on cross-business sourcing digitization initiatives. Prior to joining GE Tammee worked for prestigious firms including The Boston Consulting Group, ITT Corporation, Ernst & Young, Nina Lannan Associates and Morgan Stanley & Co.
Growing up in southern New Jersey, Tammee Thompson developed the exceptional work ethic and focus that drove her academic achievement and the skills of a successful executive.
Dedication to scholarship and learning brought Tammee to Georgetown University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in economics. Tammee’s first job out of college was with Morgan Stanley & Co. as a financial analyst. After three years with the firm, Tammee entered Stanford University and received a master’s degree in business administration.
In additional to her corporate work, Tammee has been an active volunteer and contributor to several child advocacy organizations including WorldVision, Youth Outreach Services, Student Sponsor Partnership and Court Appointed Special Advocates. In her free time Tammee enjoys cooking, Latin music and dance, musical theatre and spending time with her seven nephews and nieces.
