Ebony Beckwith

Ebony Beckwith, who previously served as the Chief Business Officer and Chief of Staff to Marc Benioff at Salesforce, played a pivotal role in aligning the company and operationalizing its core values. In her dual role, she spearheaded strategic projects, relationships, and initiatives within the Office of the Co-CEO. Additionally, Beckwith assumed the positions of CEO of the Salesforce Foundation and Chief Philanthropy Officer, overseeing the global philanthropic strategy of the company. With a tenure of 15 years in various senior roles at Salesforce, she was one of four women and the sole Black executive on the non-board leadership team before departing in 2023.

Prior to her time at Salesforce, Beckwith held executive positions at Washington Mutual Bank and Providian Financial. She previously serves on the boards of Poshmark and Warriors Community Foundation, while also contributing as an advisory board member for PagerDuty.org.

Reflecting on her journey, Beckwith emphasizes the unconventional path to success, having entered the workforce immediately after high school. Without initially pursuing higher education, she worked until she felt she reached a professional plateau. Upon encountering an advertisement for a new Computer Science program at a local university, she decided to enroll, marking a transformative step in her career trajectory.
